Hollywood Hills
In the Hollywood Hills, stories aren't just told—they’re lived. The homes perched above the city hum with a kind of cinematic tension, where every pathway, pool, and patio becomes a set, every shadow a scene. This neighborhood has always walked the line between reality and illusion, and our role is to sculpt the light that shapes both quietly.
Our lighting here ranges from understated to unapologetically bold—an intimate glow across vintage brick steps that recall a bygone era, or electric-blue bands that trace the clean geometry of a modern home with the precision of a film score. Whether casting long shadows beside a pool or creating a jewel-box terrace above the city, we design with mood and memory in mind.
We've had the privilege of illuminating homes envisioned by architectural legends such as Bernard Maybeck, Paul Williams, and Donald Wexler—each a master of style and era. We’ve also collaborated with inspired landscape designers like Jay Griffith, Rob Steiner, Pamela Palmer and Katherine Glascock, whose work brings texture, drama, and soul to these storied gardens.
For us, the Hollywood Hills hold personal meaning. John’s grandfather, Gerald F. Gannon, walked these very streets as a detective sergeant with the LAPD—a quiet force behind the badge who became the real-life inspiration for the character Bill Gannon on Dragnet. We carry his legacy of observation into every project: watching closely, working quietly, and letting the details tell the story.
Lighting in the Hollywood Hills is never just about visibility. It’s about setting a tone that could only belong here.—in a neighborhood where the past and future flicker in the same frame.
